«ARTER» gearboxes – Upgrade to the latest servo technology
«ARTER» gearboxes will be discontinued as of June 2026
Why upgrade?
We have received notification from our supplier that production of the «ARTER» gearboxes will be discontinued as of June 2026. In addition, revisions and servicing of these gearboxes will no longer be available starting June 2026.
This development will affect the operation of machines of type following types, as well as other systems using this gearbox model.
- On the ABM, BWM, FBB, MWM, SBW and VAA-K models, the wire drive was equipped with an «ARTER» fine adjustment gear.
- On the ABM, FBB and SBW250 models, the main drive was equipped with an «ARTER» variator gearbox.
- On the FBB model, the ROC discharge belt was driven by an «ARTER» variator gearbox.
As a replacement, we offer upgrades to the latest servo technology for most models to ensure continued operation in the future.

What does this mean for you?
- Production of element has been stopped because key components are no longer available.
- Repairs depend on availability of spare parts.
- We strongly recommend an upgrade or replacement to the latest servo technology, if feasible.
- «ARTER» gearboxes will be phased-out completely by 06.2026

If you do not plan to replace your old generation welding machine with one of the latest generation in the near future, we strongly recommend that you consider upgrading to a complete Control Cabinet UNICONTROL. This upgrade also includes the replacement of the drive system.
