OSS Lacquer Temperature Control
Perfect coating quality through constant lacquer viscosity
Fluctuating ambient temperatures affect lacquer viscosity and have a negative effect on the coating quality. By controlling the temperature of the lacquering gun (cooling and heating), the lacquer temperature can be precisely regulated (+/-1 °C) regardless of the ambient temperature.
Using a thermal module, the lacquer can be cooled down to 15 °C or heated up to 40 °C relative to ambient temperature. It is also possible to process lacquer types with less solvent because viscosity can be influenced by lacquer temperature. Thus, costs and emissions can be reduced.
Advantages
- Wider process window because of constant lacquer temperature at fluctuating ambient temperatures
- Precise setting of lacquer viscosity with a thermal module
- Less effort of mixing lacquer and solvent
- No subsequent mixing required in case of temperature fluctuations
- A wider range of lacquer types can be used as less solvent is required
- Reduction of operating costs because of reduced proportion of solvent
Retrofitting
All OSS units can be retrofitted. OSS units delivered before 2017 require additional parts for the fastening the lacquering gun.
