From Switzerland to Shanghai: GreenPeel^® earns international recognition

Only a few weeks after receiving a Swiss Packaging Award, GreenPeel has achieved another milestone: our innovative can concept won Silver in the Prototype category of the Canmaker Cans of the Year Awards 2026.

GreenPeel is the first direct-sealed three-piece can concept. By eliminating the weld seam, it enables effortless product release, full 360° decoration and filling from the bottom for enhanced food presentation. Its unconventional manufacturing process also requires up to 10% less material, reducing the carbon footprint by up to 7%.

The award is a valuable international recognition for an idea that takes a new approach to the traditional three-piece can.

Jason Wei, Manager of Soudronic (Guangzhou) Ltd., represented Soudronic Group at the award ceremony during the Canmaker Summit in Shanghai.
