Clutch/Brake

The production of BINDER multiple-disk clutch/brake assembly was discontinued by the manufacturer several years ago. An upgrade to a new clutch/brake will be inevitable.

Soudronic created a conversion to new clutch/brake for each welder still running with unavailable BINDER multiple-disk clutch/brake assembly.

Mechanically, the new clutch is a 1:1 replacement for the previous one. The electrical connections for clutch and brake remain unchanged. However, the new design requires a slightly higher current supply. The existing amplifiers are therefore underrated regarding current supply, which made it necessary to include an additional 24V power supply to activate clutch and brake.
