SOUCAN noise protection hood

Reducing noise pollution at work is an increasingly important issue. Better acoustics improve productivity. Noise-induced hearing impairments are one of the most common recognized occupational diseases.

In many countries, noise protection and occupational safety legislation requires machine owners to ensure that sound pressure level emissions in the workplace do not exceed LpA 80 dB(A). In the past, welding machines have been encased in housings, which require more space; alternatively, machine operators have been obliged to wear ear protection.

Working closely with specialists, Soudronic has devised a new form of hearing protection. The smart design concept sets new standards for the industry. Access to the machine for repairs, adjustments and servicing remains unimpeded, and rapid intervention, as is usual with conventional housing, is guaranteed at all times.

Independently of the acoustics in the area around the machine, maximum sound pressure emissions do not exceed 80dB (A).

Advantages

  • Numerous studies have shown that better acoustics noticeably improve the working atmosphere. This, in turn, boosts machine operator productivity
  • No structural/architectural modifications are needed to keep sound pressure level below 80 dB(A)
  • No additional configuration or increased footprint
  • Retrofitting possible with minimal modifications
  • Existing installations (water, air, electricity) remain unaffected
